Smartha to Spartan … A self tribute

All that is Black and White in this world only exist, the rest are an imitation or closeness to either one of these, having said that at this point of time where the world is in conflict within, I try to explore my inhibitions, short comings and upside to a life which is in me and has consistently, lost motivation due to accruing knowledge in a ever degrading world.

Once out of various thoughts and discussion, a major truth came to the forefront. “Disorder Drives the World”. We live in a world where the “entropy” is always positive, the randomness is ever increasing which creates a drive/stir to live.

As a child, I used to ask a lot of questions. Not that I have stopped asking questions now. The questions of a child are genuine and are often met with inaccurate answers. This pushes them into a life long misery of buying the “myth” of their parents/elders/teachers.

You can raise a child as a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, or for that matter any religion, but has anyone considered raising their children as “Rationalists” ?

It is a far more daunting task to answer your child's questions in a rational, truthful way. May be you could reason it out, as you were protecting your child from the external world and do not want him to lose his ignorance. ( I actually meant to to write innocence! ) I always got weirdest of lies from my elders, but being the self I'm, I did buy those lies until something drastic happened to disprove that.

There is an impending thought and necessity for a Human to be commanded by someone but it violates the very notion of freedom. The expression “Humans make mistakes, to learn” is rhetorical and redundant.

There are a few emotions which are built into each living organism. There are a few emotions which are learned because of the nature's cause. These consequent emotions are built into the next generations and passed on. So the initial learning is preprogrammed by nature's oblivious uncertainty. Had that not happened, inventions and conspiracies would never have surfaced. But when there is a chance to weed out one's negativity and selfish self, thy can create a world which is free from conflict!

My questioning nature was the reason to explore, for that matter, all our ancestors did the same. But they settled for solutions which were accepted in various isolated clans in a barbarian society and ritualistically passed it over generations as what some might call Wisdom, but if I were to use a derogatory word I would call it Religion.

Born in an era of technology, we have the right to question almost everything. But only a few are raising question marks whereas the rest are just “Remarking” !

With the advent of Internet and self teaching expertise, human behavior is changing faster than you think. People are driven to do things which never ever were perceivable by their predecessors. Generations are elapsing in micro and nano figments thus creating more competition for survival in a disorder driven world.

The availability of information in excess of need has created a pressure in people to know beyond what they are expected. Often a pressure spot creates a void elsewhere. But if you are lucky it all happens in one same place and lets then call it the Human Brain!

True that life is shorter than you think, but the emotions are even short lived. A minuscule problem stares you in the eye and calls it a day. But of all the thought you put in, the solution is far from achieved. Life poses so many questions, while you are busy questioning life. These seem to never appear in front of your eyes, as you have built a thick wall of impermeable thoughts, which seem to supersede all goals you set out to achieve.

The problem however big it may be has a perceivable solution. But the answer isn't served in the same place. You might have to walk places, move mountains and even dive into a deep sea of your own imagination, but when it is done, thy peace is restored in your mind. An open mind, a peaceful mind can conquer a world, whereas a prejudiced, preset brain would cease to function as an open one.

If I were to explain the word “Smartha”, I would say universal acceptance. The word spartan without doubt would be meaning “to live with what you have or by all means within oneself”.

How conflicting is that?

This journey is embarked on every individual, but it depends on whether he takes the ride or just sulks around sitting in his own spot. I wouldn't recommend the ride, nor I would say stay in the spot. It is for every individual to decide what he needs, what he rejects and that truly makes him what he really is!

How would one compare the “emotional congruence” of an “Smartha” and a “Spartan” ?

Or should I rephrase it as, How emotionally are “Smartha” and “Spartan” congruent?

They are radically different thoughts . But aren't they within oneself. Is it not, they express themselves in parts and people are blended into what they really are not and what they are not expected to be. Every personality in this world is chiseled by various factors and only some show. These idiosyncrasies and detail make what an individual is, and truly reflects his needs and capacities.

One sets stone in life as a “Smartha”, accepting whatever there is , but if he ends up to live within his means, that would qualify in my thought as a progressive intellectual evolution to reach the pinnacle, if at all there was one. But living within means can also create a delusion. You could consider expanding what your said “means” may be and set it to luxury. But the goal would be to survive in bare minimum and strive only for intellectual appetite and build a body for that !

Seldom people think like me, they would rather brand me something else. But each person has his own right to be stupid and this is my way of being it!
